Do I need a physical split-flap display?
No. You can use Split Flap Studio as a completely virtual display solution on a compatible TV, monitor or media player. Physical hardware is an additional option for customers who want the authentic movement and sound of real mechanical flaps.
What is the difference between a Virtual Display and a Hardware Display?
A Virtual Display recreates the appearance, movement and sound of a split-flap board on a digital screen such as a TV or monitor. A Hardware Display uses physical character modules with real moving flaps. Both are designed to work with the Split Flap Studio platform, allowing you to create and manage content from one place.
